Cloud Backup Bulk Restore Wizard
Table of Contents
The Bulk Restore Wizard guides you through restoring data for multiple users or teams in one workflow on the Microsoft 365 Cloud Backup Dashboard. You don’t have to start separate restores from multiple menus. With the wizard, you can:
- Restore several services, users, or sites in a single request.
- Restore from a specific snapshot date.
- Record a justification statement for audit tracking.
- Review the item count, total size, and destination before the restore starts.
- Track the bulk request and each individual restore in the Task Manager.
The Bulk Restore Wizard is part of the Cloud Backup add-on, which is available on all plans.
Recovery Scope
The wizard applies the following recovery scope rules.
- User recoveries: Restore full user profiles and their corresponding services.
- Team recoveries: Restore entire sites or groups.
- Individual items: The wizard does not restore individual items. To restore a specific item, such as a single email or file, use the standard restore methods. (See also: Search For & Restore Data Quickly.)

Notes:- The wizard can restore data to its original location or another folder.
