New Features
MCP Server: Estimates, Time Billing, & Ticket Comments
Plan Availability: All plans
Your AI assistant can already look up a ticket, but quoting a job, fixing a mislabeled time entry, and pushing hours onto an invoice still send your team back into the Syncro UI. The Syncro MCP Server now carries that work from the first quote to the invoice, inside the same conversation.
Core Capabilities:
- Quote in one conversation: The assistant creates an estimate, adds and updates line items, sets status and expiry date, and emails it to the client.
- Approved estimate to invoice: Conversion checks that the estimate is Approved first, then returns the new invoice ID, so a draft or declined quote never becomes an invoice by accident.
- Correct time without rebuilding it: Change the labor type, start time, end time, duration, or notes on an existing timer entry, and the entry keeps its original timestamp.
- Logged time straight to billing: The assistant charges a timer entry to the ticket's open invoice and confirms it, or returns a clear error when no open invoice exists.
- The whole ticket thread: The ticket comment tool returns the complete thread with body, author, timestamp, and hidden flag, and handles pagination so nothing is cut off. A separate account-wide comment search covers audit and review work across tickets.
- Estimate tools: Eight tools cover get estimates, get one estimate with line items, create, update, add line item, update line item, convert to invoice, and email. Estimate lookups return number, Organization, status, total, issue date, and expiry date, filtered by Organization, status, or date range.
- More ticket and billing tools: Attach a file to a ticket by URL, print a ticket to PDF or a local printer, read timeclock entries (attendance hours, separate from ticket timers), and update or delete purchase order line items.
- Leaner ticket lookups: A ticket lookup returns only the contact assigned to the ticket, not the Organization's full contact list.
Guardrails:
- Read and write tools are separate, each with read-only and destructive hints, so AI clients can ask before anything changes.
- No tool deletes an estimate or an estimate line item.
Permissions:
- Estimate tools require the Estimates permission.
- Purchase order tools require the Purchase Orders permission.
Setup:
- Requires the Syncro MCP connector configured and authenticated in a supported AI tool. Accounts already connected receive the new tools automatically.
- The tools don't consume Syncro Credits.

MCP Server: Business Owner Claude Plugin - Quarterly Business Review Skill
Plan Availability: All plans
Fleet age, warranties about to lapse, and servers heading for end of support make next year's budget conversation easy, but they are tedious to pull and analyze by hand. The QBR Skill for Claude reads tickets, invoices, and assets through the Syncro MCP connector and builds a review that leads with where the client stands and what's coming, with what you handled second.
Core Capabilities:
- Lead with where the client stands: Fleet age by device class, warranty runway, operating systems past end of support, antivirus, and disk headroom open the report. Where warranty dates aren't recorded, the report says so instead of guessing.
- A client report built from what you approve: A review console opens with every item pre-ticked to its recommendation and a one-line reason beside anything left out, and the client report is generated only from what you tick.
- Sensitive items reach you first: SLA breaches, aged receivables, gaps in recurring billing, and monitoring blind spots land in an internal prep sheet with a suggested framing.
- Numbers that hold up: Tickets people raised are separated from tickets automation generated, response and resolution times are reported as medians, and a method section lists the rules applied.
- Read-only in Syncro: The skill calls read tools only. It never posts comments, edits tickets, or creates or emails invoices.
- Review setup: Each review covers one Organization. The skill asks for a period (3, 6, or 12 months, or a custom range) and any focus or exclusions, and defaults to the last full quarter when you don't answer.
- Output options: Four theme presets (Slate, Ink, Navy, Forest) or custom colors, optional logos, and export as .html, print or PDF, or copied HTML. A markdown version appears in chat where HTML can't render.
Limitations:
- The skill can't report installed software, script execution history, labor detail from individual timer entries, or contract terms, and shows patch status only where the account populates it. The internal prep sheet lists each gap.
Setup:
- Requires the Syncro MCP connector configured and authenticated in Claude.
- Install the Business Owner plugin from the Syncro plugin repository in GitLab, the same location as the Syncro Service Desk plugin.
- The skill doesn't consume Syncro Credits.

Mobile App: Intake & Outtake Forms
Plan Availability: All plans
The easiest time to settle a scope question is before the work starts, with the client standing next to you. Your techs can now present the Intake Form from the ticket in the Syncro Mobile App and capture the client's signature on screen, then collect a second signature on the Outtake Form when the job is done.
Core Capabilities:
- Intake signed onsite: The client reviews the scope of work and signs on the tech's phone before the job starts.
- Outtake signed before you leave: The client confirms the completed work on screen, so every onsite job ends with a signed record.
- One record on the ticket: Signed forms save to the same ticket in the web app, using the forms and terms your office already set up.
- Forms section on the ticket: The ticket Details screen lists the Intake Form and Outtake Form, each marked Signed or Not Signed. Tap a form to open it.
Setup:
- The forms appear when they are enabled under Admin > Tickets - Preferences in the web app.
- Accounts that already use the forms see them in the mobile app automatically.
- Form content and terms are managed in the web app.
Requirements:
- Techs need the current version of the Syncro Mobile App on iOS or Android, and a connection to capture and save a signature.

Full-Context Ticket Search
Plan Availability: All plans
Rollout: Releasing to every Syncro account through November 2026.
Ticket Search now reads the whole ticket, from comments and Labor Log notes to worksheet answers, custom fields, tags, and linked asset serial numbers, so years of ticket history and already documented steps and fixes become a record your teams can search and reuse.
Core Capabilities:
- Search every part of the ticket: Ticket ID, status, priority, and type; every public and private comment and note with its author; Labor Log notes; Organization, End User, and technician names; custom field names and values; worksheet template names, questions, and answers; tags; and linked asset names and serial numbers.
- Forgiving of typos and partial words: Words of one to three characters match exactly, four to five allow one character of variation, and six or more allow two, so "chambe" finds "Chambers." The first character and any pure number always match exactly.
- The right ticket first: With no column sort applied, results rank exact ticket number first, then verbatim phrase, then all words in one field, then words spread across fields. Subject and Description matches outrank comment and Labor Log matches.
- One machine's full history: Search an asset name or serial number, or choose Assets in the Tickets page field selector, to get every ticket tied to that device.
- Full Ticket Search panel: The Full Ticket Search button in the header replaces Smart Ticket Search and searches every ticket in the account from any page while retaining your last three searches for the browser session. Opened from a Ticket Details page, it also lists up to 10 Recent Tickets from that ticket's Organization.
- Tickets page search: The magnifying glass in the Tickets page action bar filters the current list across All Fields, or just Subject, Organization, End User, or Assets. Clear the field and press Enter to restore the full list.
Permissions:
- Results respect user permissions, so technicians only see tickets they are authorized to view.
Limitations:
- The Tickets page search field accepts up to 40 characters
- The Full Ticket Search panel shows up to 10 results per section.
- Recent edits can take a moment to appear in results.
- A match can sit inside a collapsed Communications, Worksheets, Ticket Timer, or Custom Fields section on the Ticket Details page.
- The Similar Tickets section is retired.
- Search All Things and the API are unchanged.

Ticket History for Non-Admins
Plan Availability: All plans
When an issue escalates, whoever takes the call needs to know who had the ticket and when the due date moved. Until now, only Global Admins could see that. Turn on the new View Ticket History permission for a Security Group, and your service managers, help desk leads, and IT department managers get the full change record on the ticket, with no access to billing or account settings.
Core Capabilities:
- Its own permission: View Ticket History sits under Tickets in Security Groups (All Customers), so you grant ticket history without granting admin rights.
- The full change record: Status, assigned technician, priority, end user, due date, SLA, and custom field changes, from the View History button on the Ticket Details page.
- Names, not IDs: Assigned Technician, End User, Organization, Ticket Type, and SLA changes show names instead of their IDs, for every user who can view history.
- Off until you turn it on: The permission starts unchecked in every Security Group, so nothing changes until a Global Admin grants it.
For Global Admins:
- The button now reads "View History" instead of "View History (Admins Only)." Everything else works as before.

Syncro Payments: Reconciliation & Balance Report
Plan Availability: All plans
Your bank shows one Syncro Payments deposit. Your books show the client payments, refunds, and processing fees that went into it. A new Reports tab in the Syncro Payments dashboard ties each automatic payout to the transactions behind it and breaks out fees, refunds, and disputes for any period, ready to export for your books.
Core Capabilities:
- Payout Reconciliation Report: Shows each payout your bank received and the transactions it settled, grouped by category. Its subreports are Balance Summary, Payout Reconciliation, and Ending Balance Reconciliation, which lists transactions not yet settled as of the report's end date.
- Balance Report: Balance Summary shows starting balance, total activity, total payouts, and ending balance. Balance Change from Activity breaks every movement into Charges, Refunds, Disputes, Other Adjustments, and Fees, and the Payouts subreport shows payout count and total.
- Fee visibility: Gross, fee, and net amounts sit side by side for every category, so the period's processing cost is a line on the report.
- Filters: Filter both reports by date range and currency. The Balance Report also filters by time zone.
- CSV export: Every subreport exports as a summarized CSV or an itemized CSV with each transaction.
Availability by payout type:
- The Balance Report works for every Syncro Payments account, on automatic or manual payouts.
- The Payout Reconciliation Report appears only for accounts on automatic payouts, and shows only automatic payouts for an account that switches.
Data source and range:
- Figures come from the payment processor's reconciliation records, with data available back to April 2026.
- QuickBooks Online sync is unchanged.
Setup:
- Nothing to turn on. Open the Syncro Payments dashboard and select the Reports tab.

Quality of Life Improvements & Fixes to Existing Features
We're listening to your requests and making improvements to make Syncro work better for you. Here are some Quality of Life improvements and fixes we've made in this release:
API
PNG signature files sent through the Tickets API now display the signature correctly.
Assets
Table filters on the Patching Dashboard now load Patch Instances correctly.
Calendars
System calendars in Outlook and Google, such as Holiday calendars, now show as Read Only on the calendar selection page for syncing. When you select one, Syncro reads from that calendar but doesn't write to it.
Invoices
- {{invoice_date}} now prints the Invoice Date you set again, matching your accounting integration, and the new {{invoice_published_date}} tag shows when an invoice was published. Drafts start with a blank Invoice Date, which is set to the publish date at publish unless you’ve set one.
- Updated the Invoice & Payment Index Sync ID columns to display an error icon when a QBO Error occurs.
Microsoft 365 integration
We've updated the manual remediation steps for the "External Content Sharing Is Restricted" baseline to include clicking Save in the SharePoint admin center, so the setting applies when you follow them.
Mobile App
Fixed an issue which led to Asset bar code scanning to return no results in the Mobile App.
Policies
You can now fully disable Backgrounding Tools for a specific policy under Policies > Remote Access, which helps with clients that have compliance requirements. Checking Disable uninstalls Syncro Live from assets on that policy, skips the install on new assets, and hides Backgrounding Tools options in the UI. Backgrounding Tools stays on by default, and unchecking Disable reinstalls it on the next agent check-in.
Reports
- The Customer Map report now shows pins only for active Organizations.
- The CSV export of Products from Inventory no longer includes the unused "nonbillable_time" column.
- Fixed an issue that was resulting in Scheduled Reports not sending as expected.
Tickets
- Resolving a Parent ticket which has unresolved Child Tickets through most ticket resolve flows will prompt asking if you'd like to close the child tickets in bulk, reducing clicks needed to close the child tickets. Child Tickets resolved in bulk will include a private note explaining how it was closed.
- Fixed URLs for tickets that have been merged so that any pre-existing urls will redirect to the new merged tickets.
- Labor Log entries now accept exactly 10,000 characters on the ticket page and in the Ticket Timer window, including when you edit an existing entry.
- The All Tickets metric on the system All Unresolved Ticket View now counts the tickets in that view.
Other
- Syncro Credit Usage Dashboard has been added to the Admin module for Team and IT Plan accounts so that they can track their usage of the Ticket Triage & Dispatch Agent and/or Guided Ticket Resolution features. Syncro Credit consumption is unlimited through January 2027. The Credit Usage Dashboard gives insight into what, if any, impact usage of premium AI features will be for accounts after January.
- When IT Glue rate-limits requests during setup, the IT Glue setup page now says so and asks you to try again in a few minutes, instead of reporting invalid credentials.
- Security Groups with every permission enabled now show no missing permissions.
- The Atera Importer now uses Atera's new API tokens.
- Partners in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, and Yukon now have time zone options that stay on the same offset year-round. Find them in Admin > General Preferences.
- A new Security permission has been created allowing for non-Global Admins to have access to the Status Dashboard.
