Create & Download an Assessment

In the context of Security Posture Management and Baselines, an Assessment is a prescriptive, systematic evaluation process designed to measure how well a Microsoft 365 environment aligns with defined security Baselines.
Syncro generates an assessment report that includes Rule compliance data, a Microsoft Secure Score, and other relevant details collected during an audit of a Syncro Tenant.
About the Assessment Report
This assessment delivers a clear, high-level view of your Microsoft 365 security and compliance posture. Designed with business leaders and technical stakeholders in mind, it pinpoints areas of misconfiguration, potential risk, and opportunities for improvement—based on trusted industry standards.
Findings are evaluated using the Security Essential framework, Center for Internet Security (CIS) Critical Security Controls v8. It’s a practical blueprint for strengthening Microsoft 365 environments without adding unnecessary complexity.

Create an Assessment
Assessments are great for onboarding a new Customer (Organization). You can create and refer to the assessment when you discuss ways to improve their security posture. It's also great to use for regular checkpoints with existing Organizations.
To create an Assessment for a Syncro Tenant, follow these steps:
- Click the Baselines tab/module.
- Click the Tenants toggle to display the “Tenants” view.
- Click on any row to display that Tenant's Compliance Details Page.
- In the upper right, click Manage:
- Select “Create Assessment.” Syncro opens a PDF document in a new browser tab.
Download an Assessment
One you create an assessment, you can download and save it as you would any PDF document, then share it with the (Customer) Organization.
